About the Program
Master of Science in Global Economics and Finance is an international program on applied Finance and Economics incorporating the curriculum of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA (R) professional qualification program).
CFA (R) is accepted worldwide international professional qualification, issued by the CFA Institute, USA. It is considered to be the gold standard for financial professionals, the highly desirable qualification for analysts, consultants, and financial managers, working in the field of corporate finance, investment, and commercial banking, trading, hedge funds, assets management.
The program is targeted to equip participants with the cutting edge knowledge and skills in the key areas of Finance and Economics.
During the first year of education students get profound theoretical knowledge and skills in Finance and Quantitative Methods, Microeconomics, International Macroeconomics, Corporate Finance, Alternative Investments and Assets Management necessary for nowadays professionals. All the courses include exercises from the CFA training and exams.
During the second year students get trained in Financial Modelling, study M&A tendencies and efficiency, develop their skills in Macroeconomic and Financial Forecasting. The details are presented in the Curriculum section.
The international environment allows students to develop not only professional skills in economics and finance but also to learn to understand the business culture and customs adopted in different countries. Much attention is paid to the development of teamwork skills in an international environment.

Upon admission students are enrolled to the faculty "Moscow School of Economics" at the Lomonosov Moscow State University.
